Personalized Ribbon

*Can I get a sample ribbon?

Yes, we offer sample ribbons. 4 samples maxiumum and we will just sent samples of the ribbon and print colors you would like. printing on the ribbon will be whatever we have in our machines at the time. We will not custom print samples. Just email us at request@empireribbon.com

*What is the difference between "Favor Bow" and "Continuous" ribbon?

"Favor a Bow" ribbon is printed to enable you to make a bow with the ribbon without covering up any of the copy. Once cut, the ribbons are 13"-18" in length (depending on the ribbon width).
Typically the name and the occasion will be printed on the left side of the ribbon bow and the date printed on the right side.

"Continuous" ribbon will have the same phrase repeated continuously (e.g., Sara & Josh Forever   Sara & Josh Forever). There is a 1 " space between each repeated phrase.

*Can I have my own custom logo printed on the ribbons?

Yes. On most of our selection we can print a custom logo or design. Please contact us for all questions regarding custom logos. Customer Service 631-243-1252

*Logo Artwork

We will only except vector artwork in file extentions .ai, .eps, or .pdf. We can not work with bitmap artwork (.jpg, .gif, .bmp, .png or .tif). Any bitmap type saved to or converted to the proper extension is not a true vector file and can not be used as well.

*What if I do not have the proper artwork format?

Our artwork department can help work on your file creating a true vector format if needed. The cost is $40.00.

*Can you print multie color logos?

We can print up to 2 colors on a logo, but the colors can not be touching or blended on the logo. (To see if we can print your logo, send it to artwork@empireribbon.com and we will let you know)

*Can I receive a proof of my ribbon order?

If you are having your own custom logo printed on the ribbon, we will automatically provide you with a proof.

*How long does it take to receive a personalized ribbon order?

Standard Personalized Ribbon: Takes 4 - 5 business days to print.
Custom Ribbon: Takes 7 business days from proof approval
Shipping takes between 2-7 business days. As a general rule, you should allow 14 business days to receive the ribbon order.

*Can I expedite the shipping of my personalized ribbon order?

Yes, we do offer a special rush option for personalized ribbons depending on the style of ribbon. Rush print options are stated on the order page for that style of ribbon. If there is no option on the page for the style you are looking at, then it is not avaiable.

Rush print orders will be shipped standard ground unless you select a faster shipping method when checking out.

*What are the minimums for ordering personalized ribbons?

Favor Ribbon: Minimum of 50 ribbon, sold in increments of 10 after.
Continuous Ribbon: is sold by the yard and options vary by style (see pages)

*What are the different types of ribbon offered?

We offer Single Face Satin, Double Face Satin, Picot Edge, Metallic Edge, Garbo, Twill, Satin Edge Garbo, Grosgrain, Satin Wire Edge, Double Sided Satin and Organza. New styles are added all the time

*What are the dimensions of the personalized ribbon?

Continuous Ribbon available in 3/8", 5/8", 7/8", 1 1/2", 1 5/16", 2 1/2" & 4"

"Favor Bow" lengths will be:
3/8" - 13", 16", 19", 22" & 24" long
5/8" - 14" long

*What color combinations do you recommend for ribbon and imprint?

If you are selecting a light colored ribbon (white, ivory, mint, yellow, etc.), we recommend a darker foil (black, gold, burgundy, etc.).
Silver imprint works well on dark color ribbon, but not as well on lighter color ribbon. The only exception would be for metallic edge ribbons with a silver edge, which all look nice with a silver print.
If you are choosing a darker ribbon, we recommend a lighter colored print (gold, silver, etc.). This color combination makes for a nice contrast.

*How are the ribbons packaged?

Our printed ribbons come on a roll un-cut.

*How are ribbon orders shipped?

Most personalized ribbon orders are shipped via USPS. If you ordered other items along with the personalized ribbon, the order may be shipped via UPS and the ribbon will arrive seperatly.
